BloYaTop From ‘roaring rock’ to ‘mellow blues’. That’s what BloYaTop has on offer. Flirting with the golden era of 70’s power rock, their music might be called ‘cool’, or occasionally even ‘sexy’. Upon examination of the band’s motive, they aptly reverse the question: “Why Waltz if you can Rock ‘Roll?” After two albums they return with a third and promising album. The single ‘Yeah Right’ is the appetizer, introducing the material on ‘Fever’. The album presentation on December 4 was an exclusive pre-release show at Poppodium Volt in Sittard (in the south of Limburg, Netherlands) while the official release took place 1st february 2016. 'Fever', final part of a trilogy The third album ‘Fever’, together with predecessors ‘Why Waltz’ (2012) and ‘Mayday’ (2014), constitute a ‘triptych’, a tribute to the trio’s musical roots. The single ‘Yeah Right’ in a way emphasizes the triptych by offering no less than 2 B-sides ('The Luv Stuff' & 'Demolition Crush' ), originating from the previous 2 albums. Upon release of their third album the 3 gents reach their ultimate point of destination, while at the same time setting off on a new journey, for writing sessions for their upcoming fourth release are underway. Bio; After a career as a ZZ Top Tribute Band the trio surprised friend and foe by releasing their first batch of original material. In 2012, after releasing an ep, their debut album ‘Why Waltz’ swiftly followed. Even landing a distribution deal in the USA. The album gathered several raving reviews and BloYaTop instantly and convincingly claimed their right to existence. The sophisticated guitar antics of Mark Ferguson, which leave ample space for razor sharp soloing, and Mr E’s ‘vintage vocals’ and pounding bass lines combined with drumpower provided by Paul Huge, turns the band into a rock solid powertrio, who get to reveal what they’re really worth in their blistering live performances. At Bospop Fest. 2013 they laid down a grandiose show before a crowd of 7000 people, proving their coming of age since their debut which certainly put them on the map. With a record deal in pocket, ‘Mayday’ was released in 2014, followed by a tour of clubs like Effenaar, 013, Patronaat and De Melkweg.
