Hello and greetings from the Tahi crew.
It is time for us to celebrate …Tahi will reach its first
birthday milestone in February and as a result we are throwing a party. Actually we are throwing a weekender. The 27th of February sees the return of the man who enthralled us all at Kowhai Festival with his Guitars. That’s right Grete Fischer is doing an encore performance at Tahi on the Friday night between 6 and 9. Don’t miss the man regarded by many as one of the best axe players in the country.
Saturday 28th of February Tahi holds another of its Food and Beer festivals.
The star of the show will be Leigh Sawmill Brewing. Our international star will
be the Timmermans range of Lambic fruit beers. In four different hours these beers from an age old brewing tradition are an amazing summer taste sensation, and boys don’t be put off by the lovely pink bottles!! The
Hofbrau - Wheat Beer; Hefe Weizen will of course be available on tap and that too is superb summer imbibing matter. Don’t forget fresh oysters, bratwurst and Jamaican JerkChicken amongst other culinary treats Saturday night we have a super guy coming in to spin a few tunes by the name of James Wickison or better known to his friends as Jimmy Wicked. Sunday we will be have our Sunday Art market (as we do every Sunday and a recovery brunch with some relaxing jazz…and a beer perfect for the occasion from Harrington’s called Lazy Sunday. This summer lager is a luscious beer with
a mix of coriander, tangelo and ginger.
